Basic ProofreadingThe basic proofreading service is designed to be that one last look at a document before it goes to print. The document should have been through the editing process already and be in its final state. EditingWith an already-complete document (fiction or non-fiction), most clients should begin with a basic editing service. While traditional proofreading tasks such as correcting errors in spelling, punctuation, capitalization, grammar, and syntax are included, the editing service also incorporates improvements in overall structure, consistency, and formatting, as well as use of language and vocabulary. In addition, the editor will offer comments throughout the document, pointing out potential flaws in organization, logic, characterization, and continuity, and offering suggestions for revision and refinement.

CopywritingThis is a flexible service that could include working from the client’s developed outline, or turning the client’s list of key words and phrases into a polished document, or starting from scratch by brainstorming with the client about what needs to be written and how. The copywriting service is especially appropriate for resumes, CVs, cover letters, business letters, flyers, brochures, advertising and marketing materials, and other short, non-fiction projects.
Document FormatThe Write Proofreader will edit your document using Microsoft Word's "Track Changes" feature, and will also use Word's "Comment" feature to ask questions for clarity or make recommendations for improvement.
For some projects, the Write Proofreader will accept documents in PDF format. Please note: The Write Proofreader does not accept erotica or manuscripts with excessive obscenity or violence.
